DELHI HIGH COURT RECORDS EVIDENCE BY 'LIVE TRANSCRIPTION' IN PATENT INFRINGEMENT SUIT

The Delhi High Court in the case Communication Components Antena Inc v. Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik Gmbh And Co. KG And Ors observed and has recently recorded evidence by way of live transcription while hearing a patent infringement suit.

The bench of Justice Prathiba M Singh in the case observed and has concluded the cross-examination of two plaintiff witnesses and two defendant witnesses using live transcription with the consent of the parties in open court. Thus, the transcription agency engaged was Opus 2 Limited.
In the present case, the suit was filed by Communication Components Antena Inc. wherein it alleged infringement of its patent titled ‘Asymmetrical Beams for Spectrum Efficiency’ by Rosenberger, a company which manufactures and sells high-voltage and fiber optic technologies.
