Court orders video release to Atishi in defamation case

The Rouse Avenue court on Thursday directed complainant BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor to supply the videos of the conference, a copy of the statement of witnesses to Delhi Minister Atishi by the next date. She is an accused in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Tanya Bamniyal is to supply copies of the video of the press conference of January 27, 2024 and April 2024 and copy of pre-summoning evidence adduced by the complainant and documents sought by the counsel for the accused by the next date of hearing.
The Court on July 23 granted bail to Delhi Government Minister Atishi. She was summoned on May 28. On the last date, she had appeared virtually.
