CBI raids across four states, arrests four in bribery case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested four individuals, including Alok Kumar, Chief Engineer of East Central Railway, Hajipur, for allegedly accepting bribes in exchange for providing undue benefits to a private construction company. The other three accused were M/S JPW Infratech's Project Manager Govind Bhullar, company employee Suraj Prasad and Hajipur Railway Office Superintendent Alok Kumar Das.
During the operation, the CBI recovered Rs 98.81 lakh incash, reportedly hidden in multiple envelopes. Following the arrests, CBI teams launched extensive raids acros Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.
