Ex-PNP chief Azurin named ICI special adviser, replaces Magalong

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr. as special adviser and investigator of the Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI), replacing Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Malacañang announced Monday, Sept. 29.
Magalong stepped down amid concerns about a supposed conflict of interest.
In a statement, the Office of the President said Azurin will formally assume his duties once he concludes personal and administrative arrangements.
