Many thought Richard Gomez was done with film making. It’s been quite a while since his last movie, after all.

But the actor, who's also a longtime public servant, is back, headlining “Salvageland,” described as a neo-Western suspense drama that examines love, family, power, ambition, and the interminable search for truth and justice.

“I never said I’m retiring or that I'm retired,” Gomez said. “Actually, I’m still very much open to doing film work contrary to what others might have said. It’s just that, of course, at this point, I am looking for something special, something that could challenge me enough to say yes.”
