CPI (M) opposes redesign of Sitarama project, takes out rally

A massive protest rally was taken out here on Saturday by CPI (M) district committee demanding that the water from Sitarama Lift Irrigation Project be given to agricultural lands in Kothagudem district.
Speaking at the district conference held later, former MLA and the party state secretariat member Julakanti Ranga Reddy said that the struggle for the supply of Godavari water to the farmers in the district through the Sitarama project would be intensified.
