NINE out of 10 parents have been allocated their first- choice secondary school in Staffordshire.

Of the 8,111 offers made for a Staffordshire secondary school at age 11, 93.2 per cent were for a first-choice school, compared to 91.6 last year.

Nearly 99 per cent of applicants have been allocated one of their top three preferred schools. Last year, the national and regional average was around 83 per cent.
