TAMWORTH and District Civic Society’s annual Armistice Day service took place at the war memorial in Tamworth’s Hall of Memory.

- By DAN NEWBOULD News Reporter

Members and invited guests gathered to honour the 608 World War One fallen of Tamworth and surrounding villages who are listed on the plaques.

Seventeen wreaths were laid and a silence was observed with the Last Post and Reveille and the Exhortation and Kohima Epitaph.

TDCS Chairman Dr. David Biggs organised the poignant service, as he has done each year since 2015.
