Panic buying and long queues were reported at petrol pumps in and around Junnar city on Sunday afternoon (March 22), following rumors of a shortage of petrol and diesel. Citizens rushed to fuel stations across the area, creating chaotic scenes as vehicles lined up for hours.
Junnar city and its surrounding areas have a total of five petrol pumps, but only one of them had petrol and diesel available at the time. The remaining pumps had run out of fuel, prompting a sudden surge of customers at the single operational station. This led to long queues, traffic congestion, and a tense atmosphere for some time.
