Kent ace stars as ladies win their first ever match

Surrey Mirror

May 08, 2025

WOODMANSTERNE Cricket Club staged their first ever ladies’ match on Sunday.

They are aiming high in their ambition, recruiting Amy Gordon, last season's Surrey captain and player of the season to lead them.

Gordon now plays for Kent and hit 111 not out in her first Kent County match, while also representing Welsh Fire in The Hundred.

This newly-formed side is made up with players from Surrey, Kent and Sussex county sides, along with others, either new to cricket or coming back into the game.
