Football wins as South Park Women lose tournament final

THE South Park women’s team were unable to hold on to their title last weekend at the annual Merstham Ladies FC Tournament, a celebration of grassroots football that brought together 16 teams from across the region for a day packed with energy, excitement, and community spirit.

Held at Merstham FC's home ground, the tournament was hailed as a brilliant success, showcasing not only some exceptional footballing talent, but also the strength of community-driven sport.

South Park, last year’s winners, battled hard but could not repeat their triumph in what proved to be a fiercely competitive and entertaining tournament, losing 1-0 in the final to Caterham Puma Women.
