Bashir now walking tall thanks to confidence from helpful England set-up

The former Fullbrook School and Woking College student was named player of the match for England last Saturday as they wrapped up an innings-and-45-runs win over Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

England posted a mammoth 565-6 declared in their first innings where the top three of Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope all scored centuries.

Then Bashir picked up three wickets in the first innings to dismiss the tourists for 265 in the one-off four-day Test match before claiming career best figures of 6-81 to help bowl the tourists out for 255 in their second innings following on.

Speaking to Sky Sports' Michael Atherton after the match, Bashir said: "I think the boys and the back-room staff make you feel 10-foot tall.
