Young boss Ethan, 9, proves he has business off to a T

Nine-year-old Ethan Brookes has set up his own t-shirt business which is helping him overcome his challenges in school.

Ethan, who lives in Ryhope but attends Easington Colliery Primary School, is currently on the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) register for additional support.

His mother, Hannah Brookes, said: "Whilst the school is brilliant and gives Ethan a lot of support, Ethan does struggle with the social side of school and sitting in a classroom.

"Ethan is working hard to fit in and often comes home from school exhausted but doesn't necessarily learn things best with the more traditional way of learning."

Two months ago Ethan spoke to his mam about setting up his own business and decided he would like to make t-shirts to sell as well as labels to attach to presents.

With the help of Hannah, he set up his Print Tee business and accompanying website.
