Popular bakery closing city centre store
Sunderland Echo
|February 03, 2026
It's one of Sunderland's most beloved homegrown businesses, with a loyal following for its frog cakes and more, but Müllers is no longer trading in the city centre.
-
Muller in Blandford Street has now closed.
With one of its main staff members retiring, the Müllers bakery branch in Blandford Street had its last day of trading on Saturday, January 31.
However, you can still enjoy the breads, cakes and pies of the third-generation family bakers at its other branches in Villette Road, Hendon, and Sea Road, Fulwell.
