Secrecy and chaos the order of the day in the league's affairs

Something is just not right at the PSL headquarters in Parktown, Joburg. As to what it is, one just can't put one's finger on it. While the league is swimming in wealth and affluence, due to sponsorship and the wholesome TV deal with Super-Sport, things are wonky.

For starters, the PSL Awards took place this past week, virtually - what a big bore and anticlimax to wrap up a thrilling 2024-25 season. There were a lot of question marks as to how on earth, in 2025, nogal, an awards function is organised virtually.

The PSL is still stuck in the Covid-19 years, while the rest of the world has moved on.

This is supported by the fact that the chairman of the league, Irvin Khoza, was wearing a face mask when he was alone in front of the cameras.
