HARTLEPOOL United remained within five points of the National League playoff places as they collected all three points from their mammoth trip to bottom of the league Truro City.

With manager Nicky Featherstone watching on from the stands as he served a ban for the red card he received in last weekend's home defeat against FC Halifax Town, assistant manager Gary Liddle and his coaching staff oversaw pitch side duties as their side claimed a hard-earned win.

Both sides created good opportunities to open the scoring inside the opening 45 minutes, but the decisive blow was landed four minutes after the restart as Pools loan signing Charlie Caton struck the only goal of the game.
