MP Jess: I want better system for the families like Vandana's

IN an emotional meeting at her Westminster office last week, Home Office minister Jess Phillips listened as Vandana and Deante's sister Jaidamia, 19, spoke of the nightmare they live through every day.

Ms Phillips told Vandana: “You're a mum desperate to find her son. However you are feeling about it, we have to listen.”

She added: “It's not the first time I've heard a complaint that people didn’t feel like missing people were taken seriously or that something was missed because of this breakdown in the system. So I hear you.”
