With a stunning new travel series about to premiere, Hollywood star Stanley Tucci tells us about his strong connection to Italy and what he enjoys about its culture, people and food

Not many people can pull off a smart suit and tie in almost 30°C heat and still look the picture of elegance, but Stanley Tucci is one of them when we meet at a London hotel.

The charming and naturally funny 64-year-old, who lives in north London with his wife Felicity Blunt (actress Emily's sister) and their children Matteo, 10, and Emilia, seven, is here to talk about two of his favourite things - Italy and food.

The Hollywood actor's upcoming show, Tucci In Italy, follows him on a journey through five Italian regions and unearths the human stories that make them special. The five-part National Geographic series is a cinematic love letter to the land of his ancestors, which Stanley admits he feels a stronger connection to every time he returns.
