JLR resumes car shipments to US despite 25% tariffs

JAGUAR Land Rover has resumed shipping vehicles to the US after a hiatus caused by President Donald Trump's trade war.

The first shipment of cars bound for the US in almost a month left the UK on Wednesday, representing an about turn for the West Midlands car giant.
Land Rover had put a stop to transatlantic deliveries on April 7 following Trump's announcement of a 25% tariff on foreign-made vehicles.
A JLR spokesperson told The Times: “The US is an important market for JLR's luxury brands and 25% tariffs on autos remain in place.
