Husband and wife team win record-breaking offer in TV show first
A MIDLANDS couple have made history with not one, but two, Dragons' Den firsts.
Former illustrator Charlene and investment banker Simon appeared on the Den on the BBC business programme to pitch their start-up Sooper Books for investment.
The Warwickshire couple asked Dragons Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Steven Bartlett, Deborah Meaden, and Sara Davies for just £1, and the deal, for 1% of the business, made history on Dragons' Den as the lowest ever ask.
Charlene and Simon presented Sooper Books, an online collection of stories for children to read and listen to, which was inspired by their three-year-old daughter.
