Careless 'vaper' sparked huge fire at waste facility

A SUSPECTED carelessly tossed vape is believed to have sparked a blaze at a Biffa waste facility, with CCTV footage from the Aldridge Materials Recovery Facility showing the onset of a fire.

Due to their lithium batteries, vapes are a known fire risk and should be taken to local household waste recycling centres or disposed of in special vape bins available in certain shops.
