Delighted Thelin hails Shayden's wonder winner

- ALASDAIR FRASER

WE WANT MORR

JIMMY THELIN hailed fans favourite Shayden Morris for a "special" moment of magic after the winger lit up Dingwall with a stunning solo winner.

The Aberdeen boss praised the 23-year-old, already a cult hero with the Red Army, as talks continue over extending his Pittodrie stay beyond 2026.

Morris produced a Goal of the Season contender with a lightning run from halfway and a blinding finish off the woodwork to split the sides and nick the points.

With Hibs beating Rangers, it kept the Dons one point behind in fourth in the race for the Europa League.

But it brought fresh gloom to their Highland hosts, as results elsewhere dragged Ross County to within just a point of the play-off zone.

Thelin said: "Shayden's goal was really special. Sometimes you need that moment in really tight games.

"We were a strong collective defensively but he gave us that extra up front. He's doing well, I'm happy to see his journey from his years in Aberdeen.
