Prof blasts Bill's safeguards for vulnerable people
SERIOUS CONCERNS Prof Galloway
ONE of Scotland's most respected doctors has warned safeguards for vulnerable people in proposed assisted dying laws are "laughable".
Prof David Galloway, former president of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, has also accused supporters of the legislation of spreading “misinformation” over levels of public support.
The retired cancer specialist and surgeon wants resources to be used for better palliative care rather than “peddling drugs to end the lives of patients”.
