Kieron leveller gives fans bang for 5 bucks
IT was football for a fiver at Easter Road.
Tawanda Maswanhise and Kieron Bowie provided the value moments but neither side could stretch to a priceless winner.
The 1500 Well fans who took advantage of the bargain tickets to follow their side to the capital were hoping to see a win which would have underlined their status as title race outsiders.
And for the hosts, this was an opportunity to leapfrog Jens Berthel Askou's Fir Park surprise package into fourth.
But it's as you were in the table after both sides played out a tense draw.
Hibs had the better of the opening exchanges but couldn't take advantage of their early sighter as Bowie failed to get a finishing touch on a Grant Hanley knockdown.
Well finally got into gear near halftime as Tom Sparrow and Maswanhise forced Raphael Sallinger into saves.
And the Steelmen looked to be accelerating off to a fourth straight win when Ibrahim Said and Elijah Just combined to find Maswanhise in the box with the Zimbabwe frontman needing only one touch to steady himself before drilling into the far corner of the net.
Hibs responded by upping their own tempo but just as the Easter Road crowd were growing frustrated with their sloppiness in the final third, Rangers target Bowie provided a tidy finish.
