Murray: Hatred not right word for derby but you know who's Dundee or United fan in city if you get let out at junctions
SIMON MURRAY knows more than most that there is no hiding place if you lose a Dundee derby.
The prolific striker lives in the City of Discovery with his family and has been a lifelong fan of the Dark Blues.
Add in the fact he has previously played for fierce foes Dundee United and it's easy to understand why the instantly-recognisable Murray will be doing everything in his power to ensure Dundee secure their first Premiership win of the season — and the all-important bragging rights at Dens this afternoon.
The talismanic 33-year-old said: "To be fair, as much as the 90 minutes of football is hectic and you're passionate for your own team, I wouldn't say hatred is the right word — you just want to get the upper hand on your rivals.
"I get United fans coming up and saying: 'I hope you do well but not on Sunday' - or stuff like that.
"When I drive up to junctions, you know if they're a Dundee fan or a United fan if they let you out or not!
