TINY concrete models of Scotland's most notorious eyesore are a big hit online.

Art fans wanting their own piece of history are snapping up miniature sculptures of The Centre in Cumbernauld - which was voted "Britain's most hated building" in a 2005 Carbuncle poll.

The Centre was a vision of the future when built in the 60s and also helped Cumbernauld win the "Plook on the Plinth" award for the most dismal down in the UK on two occasions.

It is now slated for demolition as part of North Lanarkshire Council's massive 15-year plan to regenerate the entire town complex with new educational, health, leisure, retail and community facilities.
