LIAM SOLE made an almost instant impact as he climbed off the bench to grab Inverness Caley Thistle's winner over Alloa.

Having come on as a 68th-minute substitute, Sole grabbed the only goal of the game four minutes later when his deflected shot evaded Wasps keeper Tochukwu Ogayi to end the visitors’ perfect start.

Montrose secured their first league win of the season by beating Peterhead 2-1 at Links Park.
