Hibees hero hoping landmark strike is a huge one in crunch European showdown
MARTIN BOYLE would love his 100th Hibs goal to be a memorable one that continues their Europa League adventure.
The striker thought he had grabbed it away to Midtjylland last week but VAR ruled his effort out and David Gray's side had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
The Danes now come to Easter Road and Boyle is hoping to be the man who does the damage to set up a place in the next round against Norwegian side Fredrikstad.
Boyle said: “It would be the ideal scenario but as long as we get across the line then I'm equally as happy. It's huge for the club, it’s huge for us.
“We worked all last season to get to this stage and we really want to achieve it.
“We've put ourselves in a great position, a tough place to come. It's all on the line next week.”
The forward’s blistering pace was a real headache for the Midtjylland defence and he's hoping it will prove a key weapon at Easter Road.
