SCOTT BROWN hailed Ayr for easing into the next round against plucky Turriff.
Curtis Main, Dylan Watret and Dom Thomas were on target while Anton Dowds also missed a first-half penalty.
Brown said: “We could have scored more but credit to Turriff, they sat in and defended really well.
“T feel for Anton missing his penalty and a couple of other chances and he just needs one to go in for him.
“Overall it was job done and were into the hat for the next round, which is what we had to do. We had the chance to look at some of the other lads today as well, so it was good for us in that regard.
