Hartley eyes history with Cove in the final

PAUL HARTLEY hailed his Cove side for making history as they progressed to this play-off final for the first time ever after beating Queen of the South 2-1 at Balmoral Stadium.

After a 0-0 draw at Palmerston in midweek, Cove took an early lead via the spot after Findlay Marshall was fouled by Harry Cochrane and Mitch Megginson hammered his effort in off the bar.

Blair Yule made it 2-0 after the break and Kai Kennedy halved the deficit but Cove held on.
