Jehle hurt by Scots' last-gasp winner

- BY FRASER MACKIE

PETER JEHLE agonised for ages over an infamous last-gasp loss to Scotland.

But the devastating defeat at Hampden remains a career HIGHLIGHT for the 132-cap Liechtenstein legend.

Now general secretary of their FA, Jehle welcomes Steve Clarke's side to Vaduz for a friendly tomorrow.

Scotland were last hosted by the minnows in 2011 when a Craig Mackail-Smith goal edged a Euro 2012 qualifier 1-0.

But the major drama was 13 months earlier in Glasgow as Craig Levein's team came within seconds of an embarrassing draw.

Stephen McManus hammered a header home from a Barry Robson corner in 97 minutes for a 2-1 win - and sent keeper Jehle into weeks of reflection.

Yet the 43-year-old admits giving Scotland such a mighty scare ranks as one of the best national-team performances he can recall.

Jehle explained: "After the match I watched the game many times.

"Especially from the 94th minute onwards. We had this throw-in deep in Scotland's half.
