Airdrie ruin Dens bow

- BY NEIL ROBERTSON

STEVEN PRESSLEY will accept all the criticism that comes his way after his debut as Dundee boss ended in a disappointing defeat to Airdrieonians.

The former Dundee United star's appointment was greeted with hostility from some of the Dens faithful.

And while it's still early days, this defeat to a Championship side, courtesy of a solitary Chris Mochrie goal, won't have convinced the doubters he's the right man for the job.

At the final whistle Pressley was greeted by a barrage of boos from the home support.

And the gaffer said: "When Dundee lose to Airdrie you have to accept you're going to get criticised for it.

"That's football but we have to keep believing in what we're doing and stay pushing ahead with what we're doing.
