Belarus do Scots huge favour with big shock

BELARUS clung on to a shock draw in Denmark that reignited Scotland's hopes of automatic World Cup qualification.

Brian Riemer's side are now just one point ahead of Scotland at the summit of Group C ahead of the winner-takes-all clash at Hampden on Tuesday.

Knowing that a place at next summer's World Cup lay at stake, the Danes flew out of the traps against basement boys Belarus.

And after 11 minutes, Mikkel Damsgaard bagged a stunning opening goal that got the party started in Copenhagen.
