Every year on October 3, South Korea celebrates National Foundation Day festival that honours the legendary founding of the Korean nation.

More than a historical observance, the day is a vibrant tribute to Korean culture, identity and continuity.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka hosted a distinguished reception to mark Korea's National Foundation Day at Cinnamon Life Colombo. This year's celebration also commemorated the 48th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Sri Lanka highlighting the deepening friendship and multifacted cooperation between the two nations. The elegant ballroom symbolic of the Korean flag-setting the tone for an evening of unity and cultural reverence.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth, conversation and mutual respect - a true reflection, shared values and aspirations.
