THE first model of the USS Enterprise used in the opening credits of the original Star Trek TV show has boldly arrived back home – after being lost for almost half a century.
The detailed three-foot creation, estimated to be worth about £800,000 at auction, once occupied pride of place on the desk of the show’s late creator Gene Roddenberry.
