Police probe 'boiling water attack' by Southport killer

SOUTHPORT triple killer Axel Rudakubana allegedly poured boiling water over a prison guard, prompting a police investigation.

The “attack” happened on Thursday at HMP Belmarsh in London, where Rudakubana is serving at least 52 years for murdering Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven.

Sources said the 18-year-old boiled the water using a kettle in his cell.

The officer was taken to hospital as a precaution but did not need further treatment and was discharged that evening, it has been reported. They are expected to return to work in the near future.
