RACHEL Reeves's jobs tax will take police off the beat - as more cash-strapped forces slash backroom civilian workers, bosses warn.
Police and Crime Commissioners fear they will be forced to cut administrative staff numbers due to the Chancellor's decision to raise national insurance contributions for employers.
While police officer numbers will be maintained, civilian staff are at risk of the chop, meaning more officers will have to take over their duties.
