House prices soaring... but not in London

IT MAY be famous for its stunning scenery, but Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast and Glens is experiencing a property boom.
The average house price has soared by 13.8 per cent this year, the highest rate of growth in the UK.
Meanwhile, in the North-east of England they have risen by seven times more than London, figures show. But prices in some posh postcodes in the capital have actually fallen - by more than 14 per cent in some areas.
In the North-east, the average price has increased from £155,798 to £167,132 - a rise of 7.3 per cent.
The latest research by estate agents Yopa shows property market winners and losers in 2024 based on house price growth since the start of the year.
