HOWE'S READY FOR REUNION WITH ‘FAVOURITE’ STAR
WHEN Newcastle line up against West Ham at the London Stadium this afternoon, they could come up against a very familiar face.
Callum Wilson spent five seasons at St James’ Park and quickly captured the hearts of the Toon Army with his goalscoring exploits.
The 33-year-old striker joined from Bournemouth in 2020 and scored goals on a consistent basis.
And there were few players who deserved to be on the pitch more than Wilson when Eddie Howe's side won the Carabao Cup in March.
Having played under Howe (right) at Bournemouth and Newcastle, the Magpies head coach used his pre-match press conference to outline his deep admiration for the England international.
