It's the strife of Brian for Arteta's men as super sub strikes at the death to end winning streak

- BY IAN MURTAGH

ARSENAL have overcome many things this season but they could not contain Sunderland's incredible ability to score late, late goals.

Substitute Brian Brobbey acrobatically hooked home a 94th-minute goal - his first in English football to end the Gunners' 10-match winning run and preserve the Black Cats' unbeaten home record. After watching his side dominate the second half, boss Mikel Arteta will see this as two points dropped.

But Arsenal aren't the first side and they won't be the last to fall victim to Sunderland's 'Til The End' mantra.

Arsenal Academy product Dan Ballard became the first player since Newcastle forward Nick Woltemade on September 28 to breach the Gunners' defences.

But just as they did 12 miles up the road at St James' Park back then, Arsenal looked to have found a way to win until former Ajax striker Brobbey pounced.

The game had swung Arsenal's way in the minutes leading up to Buyako Saka's 54th-minute equaliser, with the Black Cats becoming increasingly careless in possession.
