TONY MOBRAY'S return to the WEST BROM dugout ended with a 1-1 draw against STOKE.

Brunt delighted to be handing reins over to old boss Mowbray at Baggies but disappointed to end with a draw

Mowbray was unveiled by the Baggies on Friday, returning to work after battling cancer, and saw his new charges earn a point when Grady Diangana cancelled out Nathan Lowe's opener. Interim head coach Chris Brunt admitted his over-riding emotion was "disappointment" before handing over the reins to Mowbray.

"It's great to pass it on to someone I have a lot of respect for," added Brunt.

"He's done a great job here before, and is well respected by everyone.

"We had good opportunities today that we probably should have taken, so the over-riding feeling is probably disappointment."

Cameron Brannagan's goal midway throughout the second half earned OXFORD a 1-0 win over BLACKBURN. Oxford boss Gary Rowett said: "I was super impressed with the players today.
