Brownhill brilliant for Parker's men

SKIPPER Josh Brownhill's insatiable appetite for goals made it nine unbeaten games on the spin for Scrooge-like Burnley.

They might have conceded a rare goal - just the ninth of the campaign - but it didn't matter in the end thanks to Brownhill continuing his magic at the other end of the pitch.

A stupendous 62nd-minute finish was the midfielder's eighth league goal of the season, making him the club's leading scorer.

Delighted Clarets boss Scott Parker said: "He's massively important for us. He's one player with a real goal threat. He's got a nous about him, an understanding of the game.

"As a coach, he is a seven out of 10 every week, and at times, he's nines and 10s.
