Dad speaks out after boy mistakenly arrested

POLICE have responded after a teenage boy was mistakenly arrested during a counter-terrorism operation.
Officers have said that the boy, 14, and two adult men 'appeared to have run away' from the area police were targeting in Stockport on Saturday. The trio were stopped due to the 'severity of the alleged offences' and to 'ensure public safety', but were released after officers released they were not linked to the incident, the Metropolitan Police said.
Alex Shafiq, 42, the father of the teen, Zakariya Alexander, spoke out following the incident inCheadle Hulme on Saturday.
