PLAY-OFF BID ENDS IN DEFEAT

League One hopes crushed as Binos underperform
The final hope of an immediate return to League One for Stirling Albion was extinguished in the Forthbank showers on Saturday - the Binos boss, however, believes his side still has a positive future ahead of it.
The home side never really looked in the race against Clyde, in a fixture they had to win to ensure a top-four finish. The visitors comfortably ran out 4-1 winners, meaning a fifth-place finish is the best Stirling Albion can now achieve as the season heads into its final weekend.
In the end, Elgin's win at Borough Briggs against Stranraer made the result in Stirling somewhat academic, and Stirling manager Alan Maybury hinted that scoreline may have impacted his players' performance.
However, he still labelled his side's showing as “flat” and urged his team to learn to stay in matches even when they concede first.
