Community in talks to deal with 'trees on rooftops'
Talks on how to tackle trees growing from gutters and other building issues in Stirling's city centre are underway.
Stirling Council and city centre representatives Stirling BID (Business Improvement District) are said to be working towards a plan on how to deal with the concerns.
SNP group leader Cllr Susan McGill raised the matter with the council's convener of environment, transport and net zero, Cllr Jen Preston, at a recent full council meeting.
She asked: "Has the convener given any thought to our suggestion to work with the Business Improvement District and property owners to arrange the hire of a cherry picker over a period, the purpose being to clear guttering, chimney pots and window ledges or unsightly and potentially dangerous weed and tree growth from buildings?"
