A nervous fitness fight awaits for Finn Russell after his side secured their spot in English rugby's showpiece occasion on Saturday.

The Bridge of Allan maverick was in fine form as his club Bath Rugby produced a stunning second-half display to roar back from a 13-6 half-time deficit against local rivals Bristol Bears in the Premiership semi-final.

But Russell orchestrated a powerful response from the hosts, who finished top of the table during the season, as they romped away with four tries and a 34-20 win.

However, despite the success in which he kicked 14 points, Russell limped off in the final five minutes of the match - prompting concerns about his status for this weekend's final against Leicester Tigers at Twickenham.
