Ritika Trehan, Chief Spokesperson of BJP Mahila Morcha, on Friday addressed a press conference to strongly condemn the indecent and immoral behavior of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik from Doda towards Dr Madhu Chib, an Associate Professor and head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Doda.
Addressing media persons, Ritika termed incident as highly condemnable and disgusting, Trehan demanded strict action against the MLA for using social media platforms to publicly issue threats and level "abusive, gendered and derogatory remarks" against her, quoting him on occasion using phrases such as I will drag you and I will strip you naked saying these were "not mere words, these are direct threats to her dignity, safety and professional integrity as a female doctor serving in a government hospital.
