Outrage in Jammu as stray dog shot dead in broad daylight, SPCA seeks FIR against accused

JAMMU: A horrific act of animal cruelty has sent shockwaves through the city of Jammu as two youths allegedly shot and killed a stray dog with a double-barrel gun in the Karan Vihar area in Domana area, opposite Pawan Kiryana Store, on Tuesday morning.
The brutal act, captured on video and circulated widely on social media, has drawn widespread condemnation from animal lovers and rights organizations.
The incident took place between 10:35 AM and 11:00 AM, when two young men-one wearing a red T-shirt and another in a cap with yellow, white, and blue stripes (as seen in the attached footage)-allegedly gunned down a stray dog resting on the roadside.
According to eyewitnesses and activists, the dog posed no threat and was shot without any provocation.
