The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Zone Poonch, commenced its Inter School Zone-Level Competitions today at the Sports Stadium Poonch.

These competitions include volleyball, kho-kho, kabaddi, chess, and badminton for under-14 boys and girls. The initiative is aimed at promoting sports and physical education among school students, offering them a platform to showcase their talents.

The event is being held under the able leadership of Director General of Youth Services and Sports J&K, Rajinder Singh Tara, whose vision has consistently focused on youth empowerment through sports. His encouragement and direction have played a crucial role in making such grassroots-level competitions possible.

The opening ceremony was graced by Rupinder Kour, Principal of SMSM Boys Higher Secondary School Poonch, as the chief guest.
