REIGNING champions Airbus UK Broughton got the defence of their Welsh Blood Service League Cup (North) title off to a flying start with a3-1 home win over former winners Mold Alex.
They might not be top of JD Cymru North, but the Wingmakers are still unbeaten in the league and have now taken a step into the next round of the league cup.
Owen Cordiner gave Mold a great start, but Mason Blackwell-Jones made it 1-1 at the break.
Airbus went on to win with second half strikes from Danny Warren and an eighth of the season from the prolific George Peers.
